New funding for local community projects
Local community groups are invited to apply for up to £40,000 of funding from the new Chiltern Large Project Fund.
The aim of the fund is to improve community assets that support residents' health and wellbeing.
For example, the funding could be used for play areas, outdoor gym and fitness equipment or improvement of parks and gardens.
All funding awarded should be matched by resources allocated to the project, whether that's money, assets or volunteer time.
Councillor Liz Walsh, Chiltern District Council Cabinet Member for Healthy Communities, said: "This is a great opportunity for local organisations to receive a significant amount of money to fund their projects. We're looking for projects that will really benefit the community by giving people access to fantastic outdoor spaces and play areas. If you are interested, please visit the website or contact the Communities Team to apply."
The projects must be supported by the community and may link to needs identified in the Chiltern and South Bucks Open Space Strategy, the Chiltern and South Bucks Playing Pitch Strategy and the Indoor Sport and Leisure Facility Strategy.
The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday 4 August.
Projects will be forward funded but must be delivered by 31 March 2022.
