Don't lose your vote - return your electoral register form
Residents are being warned not to lose their vote as the annual canvass forms are sent out to households.
Chiltern District and South Bucks District Councils use the forms to update the electoral register and identify any residents who are not yet registered in order to encourage them to do so.
This will mean residents can take part in future elections and with the next local elections scheduled to take place in May 2019, this is an important opportunity for residents to make sure they can take part.
The annual canvass forms will be landing on doormats around 9th July.
It's easy to return them - you can respond by text, phone or online, or send the form back via post.
Chief Executive and Electoral Registration Officer Bob Smith said: "It's important that residents respond as soon as possible, so we can make sure we have the right details on the electoral register for every address in the districts.
"To make sure you are able to have your say in the next elections, simply check the form when it arrives and respond as soon as you can.
"You can even respond online, by text or over the phone, which will help to cut the council's administration costs too.
"If you're not currently registered, your name will not appear on the form. If you want to register, the easiest way is online at register to vote, or we'll send you information explaining how to do this in the post. In any case, you will still need to complete the form and send it back to us."
People who have moved address recently are particularly encouraged to keep an eye out for the form and check the details.
