Nominations are now open for Chiltern District Council's Community Awards 2018 - the chance to recognise the volunteers and community champions who do so much to enrich life in the district.There are several award categories covering young, older, individuals, groups and businesses - and it couldn't be easier to nominate.
Group awardFor the group (including schools) which has worked voluntarily to benefit the community and/or its environment in Chiltern District.
Community championFor those aged 25 - 65 years old who have shown commitment, dedication and enthusiasm to benefit and enhance community life in Chiltern District.
Older and bolder awardFor an individual over the age of 65 years who has made a significant and beneficial voluntary contribution to the community in Chiltern District.
Young volunteer awardFor a young person up to the age of 25 years old who has voluntarily worked, giving their time, skills and talent, to benefit a community in Chiltern District.
Healthy living awardFor an individual or group who voluntarily promotes and encourages healthy living- who stands out as a champion for health and wellbeing.
Long service awardTo reward those volunteers who have served a community organisation within Chiltern District for at least 20 years.
Young carer awardThe contribution made by a young carer (up to the age of 25) to support family or community members in need of special care.
Business in the community awardTo recognise a business which supports groups or, on its own initiative, makes a positive contribution to benefit and enhance community life in Chiltern District.
