Amersham Tuesday Street Market is on the move

You might notice something a little different about the Amersham Tuesday Street Market this week.

The popular market is being relaunched in a new location to bring the two separate parts of the market together and there will be a £1000 giveaway to mark the occasion.

Until now, the market has taken place at each end of Sycamore Road but from tomorrow, it will all be set up in the middle of the road.

The aim is to provide a better market experience for shoppers and traders alike and make the market more attractive and inviting by having it all in one place.

It is hoped this will draw more people into Amersham and also benefit the businesses in Sycamore Road.

Danny Wadmore has worked at Amersham market for more than 30 years and is the chairman of the Market Operators, Amersham and Chesham Market Traders Co-Operative Ltd.

Danny said: "This is excellent news for the market and for the town. Visitors won't have to walk from one end of the road to the other; it will all be in one place for them.

"Amersham Market is well established and has everything you could want; fruit and veg, bread, cheese, flowers, gardening, fashion, jewellery, a mobile phone stall, butchers and a catering van.

"We've invested in brand new gazebos for the stalls and from 11am tomorrow there will be a giveaway of £1000 worth of vouchers to spend at the market, so I'd encourage everyone to come and visit the market and see its brand new look."
